Thoughts on Monkey Life (what their houses look like)

So when they are a young married monkey couple, it is all about the absence of chaos, CONTROL, it is all about denying their natural monkeyness to prove to themselves that they can handle being an active productive member of society. The houses and apartments of young married monkey couples are very dangerous and depressing. They like poured cement and brushed metal. They hate everything organic, they like hard dangerous edges. They like to have dangerous sculptures, like precarious razor wire monstrosities to prove that they can live with these things and not kill, maim, impale themselves. They are mannered and sophisticated. Many young couples give up eating bananas all together because they hate how "monkey" it is. They eat a artificial banana substance that is dispensed from a caulking gun type thing (available in a variety of styles or with interchangeable "skins").

Once they have kids, they loosen up, and start adding a little organic touches, banana stands,  more green and jungle imagery, make it a little more playful, but still antiseptic and modern. Everything is a nice balance though, of taste and utility. There is elegance layered in. We don't worry about the baby monkeys messing up the elegance because they are kept drugged and sedated and in little cages, and electroshock toys and highchairs to modify their monkey behavior.

Once their kids have become teenagers, it becomes like a parody of itself, they have lost touch, and their houses are tombs, and with no connection to themselves or the world, they make wild guesses about what they like and what society wants. It is a pathetic reenactment of what they where 16 years ago, everything out of date, too big, too gaudy, a harsh tacky grave marker, with plastic versus metal, and pleather, and inflatable mobiles of abstract bananas. It is like Grey Gardens, by holding on to their civilized monkeyness they have becomes stagnant and start to rot out from under themselves.

That's it.

TEN NEW (long over due) THINGOS about Clown Versus Monkey

1. New Yarkoni background arrived! Check out the polished cement floor!

2. Jax the great is on board to do backgrounds, and this is very awesome. Will try to finagle one/two more to help with the load.

3. Will be shooting on the 27th with Jimmy Lee and the great Darryl Wilcher!

4. Two more days left to shoot.

5. Needless to say, CALLING EDITORS! Ideal editing situation:

                1. one to remove green

                2. one to place actors and loop movement onto the backgrounds

                3. one to place and animate props over actors

                4. one to add blood splashes and laser gun effects
                5. one go in for close ups, mid shots, pans and such.

6. Will be filming the conclusion of killer hat story arc this weekend.

7. Awesome three headed clown mask donated to the project by writer director Ron McLellen.

8. Meeting with Sasaki the Great to discuss possible new distribution model. His uncle was a colorist on the original Speed Racer cartoon! Not that Sasaki needs that, he's pretty much the most talented person on the planet.

9.  Have snagged two Canadian actors, Greg from the Racks and Razors Radio Program and his talented friend Anya for voice work, so now we are a true international production.

10. 129 days left until premiere.

10a. finished four new reference sketches for the background artists

New Background; Shower of Yuck!

So here is the back room of a doctors office where special procedures are performed.

It is all apart of the circle of life, snapping clown tumors, and doctors with voice oscillators.
